Weekly Update Presented by the Bridge Alliance Education Fund….Coming Soon!
Posted byon July 25, 2018 at 1:06 PM
There are two organizations within the Bridge Alliance’s family. One is the Bridge Alliance, and the other is its sister organization -- the Bridge Alliance Education Fund (or BAEF for short). The BAEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to informing the public of the latest happenings in the democracy revitalization movement -- i.e. the efforts of Bridge Alliance members to promote civic engagement; good governance; and better electoral processes.
As you may have noticed, the Weekly Update serves a similar purpose. Therefore, the BAEF will soon take over control of the Weekly Update. The Bridge Alliance also plans to turn over its Facebook page and Twitter page to the BAEF. In other words, the BAEF will be the public’s window into the revitalization movement.
Very little will change for you, our supporters, except that the emails will look a bit different -- the updates will still be sent out on Tuesday, and they will still contain updates about the Bridge Alliance and its members. Meanwhile, @bridgealliance on Facebook and @BrdgAllianceUS on Twitter will continue to be your source for daily revitalization news. We are excited for this next chapter in the Alliance’s development and we thank you for joining us on this journey.
In other news, Bridge Alliance member Public Agenda will be hosting a free webinar on engagement this Thursday at 3:30 PM EST. This webinar is open to the public and will address what engagement is, why it’s important, and how to engage more effectively. To sign up for this class, click here.
Finally, Eric Liu of Bridge Alliance member Citizen University recently facilitated a discussion about the Better Arguments Project at the Aspen Institute’s Ideas Festival. The basis of this project is the belief that America doesn’t need fewer arguments -- it needs more intelligent arguments. You can watch the discussion by clicking here.
As always, thank you for your support.
