Our Democratic Institutions Need Your Help! Also, “Hi!” from the Bridge Alliance Education Fund!

About a month ago, we told you that the Bridge Alliance Education Fund (BAEF) would soon be taking over the Weekly Update. That day has finally arrived. The BAEF’s mission is to inform you -- the Bridge Alliance’s supporters -- about the latest happenings in the democracy revitalization movement, so the Weekly Update fits neatly within our mission. With that said, it’s time for the Update!

The Fair Elections Center (the parent organization of Bridge Alliance member Campus Vote Project) has teamed up with Development Seed on a pilot project called Work Elections to recruit poll workers for 8 states in 2018 -- Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. Poll workers are vital to make sure that election rules are explained clearly and uniformly applied, but becoming a poll worker is not always easy. Work Elections simplifies the process, so if you live in one of these states, go to that website and sign up!

Meanwhile, the National Conference on Citizenship (NCoC) has released the full conference agenda for the Annual Conference on Citizenship. If you have any interest in getting involved with the revitalization movement, this is the perfect opportunity to meet leaders, learn about various initiatives, and discover how you can be part of the solution. Tickets are only on sale for one more month, so buy yours now.

As always, thank you for your support,

Sincerely,

Bridge Alliance Education Fund
