NWOC Early Results

Posted by on May 04, 2018 at 2:39 PM

Thank you to everybody who participated in the first ever National Week of Conversation, a project of Bridge Alliance Education Fund (#NWOC). Over 130 organizations participated, hosting over 120 public and countless private conversation events in 32 different states and Washington, D.C. plus online. Between Twitter and Instagram, the hashtag #NWOC was used over 1,000 times and -- as of April 27th -- nearly 1.3 million unique Twitter users had seen #NWOC posts. This was truly a nationwide celebration of listening and conversation. These are preliminary results -- more will be available next week.

A BIG thank you to the BA members who volunteered to be Organizing Partners and made the National Week of Conversation possible:

As we move forward, let’s remember that the National Week of Conversation was an opportunity to celebrate what we should already be doing every day -- having conversations and listening to each other. Everything that the Bridge Alliance and its member organizations do depends on learning and understanding, neither of which can happen without conversation. So, while the Week of Conversation may be over, the conversations themselves must continue -- and will.

To that end, please check out our complete list of #NWOC partner organizations and see how you can get / stay involved moving forward.

As always, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,
