NIMP Announces Merger

Posted by on May 17, 2018 at 1:05 PM

Bridge Alliance members believe that we are stronger when we work together to meet the challenges we face. The National Institute on Money in Politics (NIMP) (formerly the National Institute on Money in State Politics (NIMSP)) and the Campaign Finance Institute (CFI) are taking it one step further by officially combining forces. NIMP uses its multi-state, multi-year databases to reveal trends in political giving, examine how contributions may drive public policy debates, and see which special interests are giving to which politicians.

NIMP and CFI have been working together for years, but recently realized that they could be more effective if they integrated their data, experience, knowledge, and skills. You can read more about the merger here.

The Bridge Alliance would like to congratulate NIMP and CFI on their merger. When an Alliance member grows bigger and stronger, the entire Alliance benefits. We would also like to welcome CFI’s staff and supporters -- in advance -- to the Bridge Alliance. We look forward to supporting their work as part of NIMP and working with them to revitalize our nation.

As always, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Bridge Alliance

Member Testimonial:

“In the Bridge Alliance, we found our tribe: People and organizations who are grinding away at small, incremental change over time – just like we have been – to make it possible for more people to be involved in the civic conversation in the U.S." Dana Chisnell, Co-Director, Center for Civic Design
