Bill Gates once said, “The internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow.” In a country as large as the United States, the internet’s ability to connect people from all corners is absolutely critical to our movement. It allows us to come together -- no matter where we are -- to discuss ideas, support each other, and build a sense of community.

With this in mind, we are excited to announce that several of our members recently announced webinars that they are hosting this month and next month. First, Cities of Service is hosting a webinar on February 27th to discuss ways that cities are engaging citizens to revitalize and repurpose vacant lots. Second, iCivics, NICD, and 92Y are teaming up for a late March webinar titled “Civics, Civility, and Circles—How to Restore & Create Community, Now!” If you’re looking for a way to connect with the revitalization movement without having to travel, we highly recommend attending at least one of these webinars.

We also wanted to let you know that we have put together some lists on our Twitter account. These lists group Bridge Alliance members together by subject area, and are a super easy and convenient way to stay up-to-date on the movement. Just click the link, click on the list that appeals to you, and hit subscribe.

As always, thank you for your support.
