Below are the highlights and featured resources of this past week’s Daily* Resource.

August 31, 2022 - Voting Voting and More Voting

Conversations about voting reform efforts have been abundant within the Bridge Alliance community as of late. We are gearing up to make sure all things voting and elections are amplified and accessible, starting here. Citizen Connect recently launched an election hub page on their website that helps people register, vote and even work the polls. They teamed up with Team Democracy to get our fellow Americans to the polls via a principles pledge and expanded set of related resources. 

Furthermore, putting the voting and elections initiatives of all of our members may very well be the longest newsletter this movement has ever seen. So, below is a list curated by our very own Jeremy Garson of member organizations that are elections focused or have special elections initiatives going on. ActiVote - Nonpartisan app to help every American stay engaged, informed & inspired for their democracy

Business for America -Encourages  businesses to support democracy and voting

Center for Election Science - Approval Voting focused; advocates for smarter election systems.

Civic Influencers - Works with college admins to encourage student voting

Election Reformers Network - Focuses on supporting the institutions critical to democracy 

FairVote - RCV focused; research and propose common sense changes to strengthen our democracy

IndependentVoting.org - Advocates for unaffiliated voters

Mobile Voting Project - Making the case for mobile voting to increase voter participation

Mormon Women for Ethical Government - Training women to become principled voters and persuade others to do the same

National Conference on Citizenship - Measures local voter engagement health

National Vote at Home Institute - Advocates and provides information on voting at home

Open Primaries - Educates voters, trains and supports spokespeople, and participates in the building of local, state and national open primaries coalitions

Solution Citizen - Turning cynical partisan and non-voters into strategic solution voters

Team Democracy - Promoting confidence in elections, but also providing resources during midterms

Unite America - Promoting voting reforms and voting to have more representative candidates

Veterans for Political Innovation - Trying to mobilize veterans for voting reforms

I hope you find these organizations helpful as you continue to support healthy self governance. This is a significant time we are living in and a significant election we are preparing for.
