IMPACT THROUGH COLLABORATION
BRIDGE ALLIANCE IMPACT GRANTS – INAUGURAL ROUND
We’re inspiring new approaches and catalyzing greater collaboration among organizations who complement each other in political reform work.
An inaugural grant round helped our member organizations work together to multiply the impact of each group’s work –by developing joint strategies that leverage each other’s expertise, staff, and resources
We awarded grants to two dozen organizations in April to work at the local, state and national level. These initial grants are to pilot democracy-strengthening initiatives in three main areas: Civic engagement, campaigns/elections, and governance/policymaking. Specifically, they are focusing on:
- there are six projects that test new ways of engaging voters of different viewpoints, socio-political and partisan backgrounds in constructive and civil dialogues to find common ground via in person models, deep listening training, initiative education, social media testing and nonpartisan terrestrial media content.
- there are two projects to improve how elected officials communicate better with each other and with constituents.
- there are two projects designed to increase participation in elections -- for both voters and for those running for office.
